Where are the best study spots in Chester?

Sometimes you need a quiet spot to focus on your studies. Fortunately, the University of Chester offers a number of options for its students.

First, if you need access to a personal computer, why not book yourself in at the UoC Work Spaces for a hot desk. It’s located on the Exton Park campus opposite Molloy Hall. Exton Park also has the Seaborne Library, where you can book study pods or work in the open plan workspace, and there’s also ample study space in the downstairs café. Finally, all students are welcome at the dining rooms on Exton Park, not just those in catered accommodation, and this can also be a good place to study, as well as get a drink or a bite to eat.

On the Wheeler campus, meanwhile, the Wheeler Library has some rooms available for booking, as well as various spaces for quiet or group study. The nearby Riverside Innovation Centre also has a coffee shop that’s suitable for studying in. Over at Queen’s Park, the library there has some bookable and drop-in spaces that are well equipped, while in Churchill House, you can enjoy some views of Chester from the Brasserie de Gaulle.

If you have student accommodation in Chester city centre but your housemates are distracting you, you may want to get away to the Storyhouse, which has a library with study spaces and plenty of sockets to plug your gear into. There’s also a café/restaurant, cinema, and theatre there if you feel like unwinding afterwards.
