Hoole: the Popular Suburb Chester

With its flurry of independent cafes, shops, restaurants and bars, it’s no wonder that Hoole is known as a ‘little slice of West London’. It’s because of this, and its fantastic sense of community, that Hoole is one of the best places to live in Chester. But our favourite things about Hoole are as follows…

Independent cafes, bars, restaurants and shops

You’ll never be short of something to do in Hoole. Everything is right on your doorstep with the added bonus of being in a peaceful suburb, so you won’t have to sacrifice your peace and quiet.

There are many great cafes in Hoole that make a mean coffee and amazing food, such as Little Yellow Pig, Short + Stout and Sticky Walnut. Or if you’re after some good ol’ traditional pub grub, there are the likes of The Faulker or The Oaklands.

Hoole is also home to a great range of shops, florists, barbers - you name it, this little suburb has got it.

Great sense of community

Hoole is a small corner of Chester where everyone knows everyone; where coffee shops appreciate their regulars, where Christmas light switch-ons and community gatherings are held. This close-knit community is celebrated through local, independent produce, shops and restaurants, which really give it that homely feeling.

Location

Hoole is no more than a mile away from the Cross in Chester’s city centre, whilst also being close to the main University of Chester campus, making it the perfect location for students. It’s also super close to the train station, with great links to Liverpool and Manchester.

And with everything you need on your doorstep, what more could you want?
