Viewing and Sign-Up Procedure

Viewing and Sign-Up Procedure

Here at Bed, we make it our mission to understand your requirements and keep the renting process as simple as we can. We have over 900 rooms available to view, so we are confident we will have something to suit everyone! Choosing your ‘Bed’ is a big decision, so we ask you to think about the following questions…

Where do you need to be? – Location is key…living close to your campus can add on extra time for that all important beauty sleep!

Who do you want to live with? – Big group, small group, new friends or old?

What can you afford? – Make sure you can afford to work, rest and play!

What are you studying? – Do you want to live with course mates or with other friends?

What are your interests? – Party animal? Sport fanatic? Video gaming whiz?

What year are you in? - Just starting out, totally dissertation focused, or somewhere in between?

Once we know what you are looking for, just follow these simple steps to get the viewing process rolling:

Find your group – We need to know the size of your group in order to show you the appropriate houses, if you are a group of 5 for example, we can only show you 5 bedroom properties.

Gather your group – If you’re all moving in together, you all have to agree on your chosen house, so make sure you all view the place together.

Check out our website – The majority of our properties can be viewed online through our 360 virtual tours or through our pictures, have a look on www.bedstudentrentals.com and shortlist some properties.

Arrange a Viewing – Call 01244 952 252 or email hello@bedstudentrentals.com to arrange a viewing. This can be one property or several. Viewings times are flexible to suit you and your group…give us some notice though, we like to make sure our current tenants are informed as early as possible that we will be popping in.

Reserve your property – Fall in love with one of our properties during your viewing? Great news! Now all you need to do is let us know you would like to go ahead.

Get a guarantor – All tenants must have a guarantor, just in case there is a change of circumstance and you are unable to pay your rent…this is usually a parent or family member or sometimes an employer or friend. They must be over the age of 21, a homeowner or in full time employment and UK based. They will sign an agreement alongside your contract. If you are unsure about this, just ask us! We have plenty of advice and options that could help.

Sign your tenancy agreement – Once you’ve reserved the property, you will then receive your tenancy agreement. Think before you sign! This is a legally binding document so please don’t be afraid to ask someone to look it over, maybe a parent or one of the helpful team at Chester Students’ Union advice department.

Move in – We will be in touch with you near to the start date of your tenancy to arrange your key collection and moving in.

Enjoy! – Once you’re all moved in, you are free to enjoy your new home for the next academic year!
