For this year’s Nursing Times Workforce Summit and Awards, the Practice Education and Simulated Learning Division at the University of Chester has been nominated for the Best Employer for Staff Recognition and Engagement.
The team’s nomination was earned due to its work on the annual Practice Learning Symposium and CAPE Awards, which recognises achievements in practice education through an award ceremony. The event also features workshops and activities, and provides opportunities for professionals and leaders from across Merseyside and Cheshire to network.
The Nursing Times Workforce Summit and Awards seeks to celebrate organisations that have made exceptional progress in retaining and recruiting nurses, as well as ensuring their inclusion and wellbeing.
Kate Knight, from the University of Chester, said:
“The aim of the Symposium and the CAPE Awards is to provide an opportunity to enhance and support our community of practice and to recognise the crucial role that practice educators play in the development of our future workforce, as well as the wonderful work they are undertaking to support this.”
She added that the event had become a much-anticipated feature in the calendar for practice learning, and she expressed her team’s pride at representing the university at this year’s awards ceremony in November.
